Trustee, Director & Founder of My Blue Heart
A long story made short, Rebecca has always worked with animals within the veterinary field going back as far as 1999. However having a family changed her direction to a non animal related job to fit around having three children.
Ocean wise, when ever possible she found reasons to be involved in marine animal welfare campaigns and causes. In 2015 she bought her first boat Lady Scarlet with her husband Joe.
Rebecca was inspired by her closest friend Emma, when Emma ditched her corporate office job for something she has always been passionate about.
Rebecca was keen to follow, not to mention she was missing all the animal interaction.
On the 2nd of February 2020, just before the famous global lockdown Rebecca decided to join forces with Emma's My Green Heart. This was the beginning of My Blue Heart Marine Conservation. Their two journeys have intertwined once more, this time making a difference together.
Trustee, Director & Founder of My Green Heart (Partnering Company)
In 2018 Emma went through a spiritual awakening which left her questioning what her purpose in this life was. She soon discovered that all things are connected, humans animals, plants etc. No longer feeling fulfilled in her corporate office job Emma decided she wanted to do something she loved and she wanted the freedom to do it from her home so she had more time to spend with her family. Out of that desire and drive came My Green Heart, an online shop for all things Eco-friendly, sustainable, ethical, fair trade, plastic free and vegan friendly. Helping people shop more consciously!

The fantastic Louise is an English tutor and director of Exam Papers Plus. She is a trustee of the Millfield Foundation (raising money for scholarships to Millfield School in Somerset) and has been a volunteer and member of the Marketing and Comms Committee at Variety, The Children’s Charity. We can tell Louise will prove to be a great asset to My Blue Heart. Louise has always loved the ocean finding it a beautiful and peaceful place to go and read a good book. Keen to help My Blue Heart any way she can, Louise will be doing her open water PADI with Rebecca as soon as we are allowed…
Adviser & Volunteer
Joe being quite the adventurer, participating in many different sports is obviously a bit of an adrenaline junkie. Enjoying sports such as scuba diving, parascending, skydiving and boating. Joe has always been drawn to the ocean and dives in as many different countries as possible. Quite the CV you might say, luckily he married a very ambitious lady, Rebecca Ounsworth (My Blue Hearts Director) lucky guy!...
Joe will be organising Project Seabed, putting his skills into action. Not to mention he owns a few boats. My Blue Heart are currently using one of the boats for Project Litter. My Blue Heart have exciting news, Joe who is also a full time carpenter is working on another boat which will hopefully be ready soon, in time for Project Seabed to take centre stage.

Still today the ocean is a part of his heart. Ian is so excited about being involved with inspiring people to be more conscious individually and as a collective to look at and see how we can change together for the benefit of our global water system.
Matt has worked in the financial sector for over 10 years and has held several positions focused on oversight and governance in the private and voluntary sectors. In his space time he is a keen cyclist and musician with a life long passion for the outdoors.
